Indonesia Partner Country INNOPROM 2026, Momentum to Showcase National Industrial Competitiveness
JANUARY 22, 2026
Indonesia has officially become the Partner Country for the Industrial International Exhibition (INNOPROM) 2026, a prestigious international industrial exhibition to be held on July 6–9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia. This designation serves as a strategic momentum for Indonesia to showcase the capabilities, competitiveness, and readiness of the national industry before the world.
INNOPROM is an international industrial exhibition that serves as a showcase for global industrial innovation, technology, and cooperation, bringing together industry players, investors, and policymakers from various countries. Since it was first held in 2010, INNOPROM has been known as the largest industrial exhibition in the Central Asian and Eurasian region, involving nearly 1,000 exhibitors and occupying an area of 50,000 square meters.
Industrial cooperation between Indonesia and the Russian Federation has been strong and covers various strategic sectors. This cooperation includes the fertilizer, pharmaceutical and medical device, metallurgy, shipbuilding, and chrysotile industries, as well as the development of the halal industry. The foundation of this cooperation is a key asset for Indonesia in maximizing its role as Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that Indonesia's participation as Partner Country of INNOPROM 2026 is a strategic step to reinforce national branding as an industrial nation that is competitive, innovative, and open to international collaboration.
"Indonesia's participation as Partner Country of INNOPROM 2026 is an important momentum to demonstrate the capabilities and competitiveness of the national industry to the world. Indonesia wants to be present not only as a participant, but as a strategic partner showcasing commitments to innovation, sustainability, and inclusive industrial growth," said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Jakarta, Thursday (22/1).
As the Partner Country, Indonesia will display prominent manufactured products, investment potential, and partnership opportunities in various priority sectors, while promoting Indonesia as a manufacturing and innovation hub in the region. Indonesia's presence is also aimed at expanding access to non-traditional markets, especially to Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.
"INNOPROM serves as a strategic platform to expand market access and deepen Indonesia's industrial cooperation with international partners, especially Russia and the Eurasian region. Through this forum, Indonesia can introduce its industrial capabilities while opening mutually beneficial investment and partnership opportunities," explained the Minister.
As part of the preparations for INNOPROM 2026, the Ministry of Industry, with the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, held the Indonesia–Russia Business Matching: Road to INNOPROM 2026 in Moscow. This activity was utilized to accelerate the completion of several strategic memorandums of understanding in the industrial sector and to align the cooperation agenda between Indonesian industrial players and Russian partners.
Within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Indonesian Ministry of Industry have also agreed on several memorandums of understanding in strategic industrial sectors, including cooperation in shipbuilding and scientific research regarding the safety of chrysotile use, as well as other industrial cooperation still in the finalization stage. This agreement reflects both countries' commitment to promoting value-added industrial collaboration and technology transfer.
Support for Indonesia's participation in INNOPROM 2026 also came from the Russian Government through the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, and Formika Event (the organizer of INNOPROM), who declared their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial industrial cooperation, including in the fields of technology, energy, transportation, and industrial digitalization.
Through INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia reinforces its position as an industrial nation that not only relies on natural resources, but also prioritizes value addition, innovation, and sustainable industrial solutions for the global market.
