Indonesian Industrial Estates Offer Ease of Investment for Eurasian Industry Players
JULY 5, 2026
Investors from the Eurasian region can now directly view various ready-to-build investment locations offered by Indonesia through its participation as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, held from July 6–9, 2026, in Ekaterinburg, Russia. In the largest industry exhibition in the Eurasian region, Indonesia is presenting five Industrial Estate (IE) managers with various advantages, ranging from integrated infrastructure and competitive incentives to logistics connectivity that supports manufacturing activities.
This participation is part of the government's effort to expand industrial cooperation while supporting Asta Cita through strengthening industrialization, downstreaming, and job creation. "We want Eurasian investors to see that Indonesia is not just a large market, but also a production partner ready to grow together. We are presenting investment locations already supported by increasingly competitive infrastructure, regulations, and services so that companies can immediately build their production base in Indonesia," said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, in Jakarta (2/7).
The Minister of Industry affirmed that the development of industrial estates is part of the government's strategy to accelerate the equitable distribution of industrialization while strengthening national manufacturing competitiveness. According to him, industrial estates do not only provide locations for companies to operate but also accelerate the growth of new economic centers that can create jobs, support downstreaming, and increase added value for regional economies.
Indonesia's readiness to offer competitive industrial estates is also reflected in the sector's continuously improving performance over the last few years. As of the second quarter of 2026, Indonesia has 180 industrial estates accommodating nearly 12 thousand tenants. Throughout last year, these estates successfully attracted investments worth Rp6,744.58 trillion, or a 9.26 percent growth compared to the previous year, while absorbing around 2.35 million workers. To further increase investor confidence, the Ministry of Industry has also set industrial estate accreditation standards through Ministry of Industry Regulation No. 26 of 2025, which regulates aspects of infrastructure, environmental management, and governance and service quality.
For investors, industrial estates today no longer merely provide land but also offer the ease of starting a business through increasingly integrated infrastructure, services, and permits. Therefore, INNOPROM 2026 is being used as a venue to directly connect potential investors with industrial estate managers.
The Director General of Resilience, Regional Zoning, and International Industry Access (KPAII) of the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, said that the participation of five industrial estate managers in INNOPROM 2026 aims to accelerate business communication with prospective investors from the Eurasian region.
"We want to make it easier for investors to get the information they need. At INNOPROM, they can discuss directly with industrial estate managers, understand the available facilities, learn about various incentive schemes, and explore cooperation opportunities based on their business needs. The hope is that the meeting at this exhibition can lead to materialized investments in Indonesia," Tri said.
The five industrial estate managers acting as co-exhibitors at INNOPROM represent the diverse advantages of Indonesian industrial estates, ranging from Special Economic Zones (SEZs), areas integrated with international ports, to areas that have become investment destinations for various global manufacturing companies.
The co-exhibitors consist of KI Wiraraja Indonesia/PT Galang Bumi Industri, PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (Persero) as the manager of the Batang Industropolis SEZ, Bintan Industrial Estate, Kendal Industrial Park, and the Indonesian Industrial Estate Association (HKI).
The Executive Director of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (Persero), Juliani Sari Kusumaningrum, believes that investors today are not only looking for land to build factories but also considering the readiness of supporting facilities that allow business activities to start immediately. "In our area, investors do not need to start everything from scratch. Ready-to-build land, utility networks, fiscal incentives through the Special Economic Zone scheme, and logistical access directly connected to international ports are available. Thus, companies can focus more on accelerating their operations and business development," she stated.
The participation of these five industrial estate managers is expected to open up more business meeting opportunities with prospective investors from the Eurasian region during the INNOPROM 2026 event. Through this participation, the Ministry of Industry hopes that more investments will be realized, thereby strengthening national industry, creating jobs, and encouraging economic growth in various regions.
