Opportunities for Indonesian industrial cooperation in the Eurasia region are becoming increasingly open. To capitalize on this, Indonesia is bringing 16 industry players from the metal, machinery, transportation equipment, and electronics (ILMATE) sectors to INNOPROM 2026 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on July 6-9, 2026. They will showcase various innovations ranging from Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, Virtual Reality, and RFID to the shipbuilding industry with maritime components, drones, solar energy, iron and steel metals, and industrial machinery. Through this participation, Indonesia aims not only to promote flagship products but also to target more concrete industrial cooperation by expanding market access, production collaboration, and strengthening supply chains with Russia, as well as member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and BRICS.

"The participation of the ILMATE sector in INNOPROM 2026 shows that Indonesia's manufacturing capacity continues to grow and is increasingly able to compete at a global level. We want to show international partners that Indonesia is not just a market, but also an industrial partner capable of delivering innovation, technology, and high value-added manufacturing products," said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Jakarta (2/7). He emphasized that the ILMATE sector's involvement reflects the strengthening capacity of Indonesia's manufacturing industry in producing value-added products with global competitiveness.

This capacity strengthening is reflected in the ILMATE sector's performance, which continues to grow positively. In the first quarter of 2026, this sector recorded a growth of 4.28 percent (YoY). Its role in the national economy is also becoming more strategic, contributing 4.28 percent to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), or nearly a quarter of the total non-oil and gas processing industry GDP. This performance was also supported by investment realization reaching Rp90.48 trillion.

Director General of ILMATE at the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), Setia Diarta, stated that Indonesia's presence at INNOPROM 2026 is evidence that the national industry is increasingly capable of producing high-tech manufacturing products that are competitive in international markets. "The ILMATE sector is one of the backbones of Indonesia's manufacturing transformation because it produces products with high technological content and value added. The companies we are presenting at INNOPROM 2026 represent national industrial capabilities in various fields, from digital technology, maritime components, and solar energy to drones. We hope their presence can open more opportunities for technological collaboration, investment, and supply chain development with industrial partners in the Eurasia region," he said.

Indonesian industrial relations with the Eurasia region also continue to develop through various strategic collaborations. One such milestone was marked by the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) between PT PAL Indonesia and Rosatom in April 2026. This collaboration serves as a concrete example of how Indonesia's maritime and engineering industries are starting to get involved in the development of world-class technology with international partners.

At INNOPROM 2026, the ILMATE sector will be represented by 16 companies and institutions from various industrial subsectors. These participants operate in the fields of digital technology, the metal industry, shipyards, maritime components, cables, solar energy, drones, industrial equipment manufacturing, and smart farming.

Participating companies include PT Unicam Digital Pictures, PT SSR Biztec, PT Tata Metal Lestari, IPERINDO and PIKKI along with several of their members, PCM Kabel Indonesia, PT Suhatherm Mfg Indonesia, PT Bentara Tabang Nusantara (BETA-UAS), PT Wiraraja Energi Indonesia, PT Teknologi Rekayasa Katup, PT Duraquipt Cemerlang, PT Mitra Sejahtera Membangun Bangsa, PT Adiluhung Saranasegara Indonesia, PT Timah Industri, and Aeroagro.

Through participation in INNOPROM 2026, the Ministry of Industry hopes for more industrial partnerships that result in investment, technology transfer, supply chain development, and production cooperation. This collaboration is expected to not only strengthen national manufacturing competitiveness but also open new market opportunities for Indonesian industrial products in the Eurasia region and the global market.
