Opportunities for industrial partnerships between Indonesia and Russia and the Eurasia region are increasingly open as industrial relations between the two countries strengthen. Through Indonesia's participation as an Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, national industry players have greater opportunities to expand market access, attract investment, develop joint production, and obtain technology transfer from partners in the Eurasia region.

"Indonesia's participation in INNOPROM 2026 is a strategic step to strengthen the position of the national industry in the global market while expanding international partnership networks that can generate investment, industrial development, and increase Indonesia's manufacturing competitiveness," said the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, in Russia (5/7).

This commitment is being realized through various strategic agendas ahead of the opening of the exhibition in Yekaterinburg, Russia. One of them is through a Joint Press Conference titled Indonesia and Russia: Building Industrial Partnership at INNOPROM 2026, which is a momentum to introduce Indonesia's industrial potential to Russian business players while opening up new cooperation opportunities.

Director General of Resilience, Regional, and International Industrial Access (KPAII) of the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, said that Indonesia is targeting the birth of more concrete industrial cooperation through its participation in INNOPROM 2026. "We are utilizing INNOPROM 2026 to connect Indonesian industries with the right partners in Russia and Eurasia. Our focus is not just on expanding trade, but also on encouraging industrial investment, joint manufacturing development, and technology transfer that can strengthen the competitiveness of national industry," said Tri in his remarks at the Joint Press Conference in Yekaterinburg (5/7).

On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Alexei Gruzdev, stated, "Indonesia is the largest industrial economy in Southeast Asia as well as one of Russia's main international industrial partners. The designation of Indonesia as the first country in Southeast Asia as the Official Partner Country of INNOPROM 2026 reflects the importance of the relationship between the two countries," he said.

Support for strengthening Indonesia-Russia cooperation also comes from the regional government hosting INNOPROM. "Sverdlovsk Region is the heart of INNOPROM's implementation as well as one of Russia's main industrial centers. Therefore, we welcome Indonesia's presence as an Official Partner Country. We hope that the meetings during INNOPROM will be the beginning of broader cooperation between Indonesian industry players and companies in our region, including in the form of investment, joint manufacturing projects, and technology development," said the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Pasler.

To open up more cooperation opportunities, Indonesia is bringing 50 companies and institutions from various industrial sectors, ranging from agro-industry, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, specialized manufacturing and consumer goods, advanced manufacturing and engineering, to industrial zones and investment. They will participate in business matching, business forums, bilateral meetings, and sectoral discussions designed to accelerate the birth of business cooperation, investment, and joint manufacturing development.

Indonesia is also presenting an Indonesian Pavilion covering 1,512 square meters as a showcase for national industrial excellence as well as a space for interaction between business players, investors, business associations, and policymakers from various countries. This pavilion is a platform for Indonesian industry players to introduce products, technology, and investment opportunities to potential partners from the Eurasia region.

Director of Business Programs at Formika Event and organizer of INNOPROM, Anton Atrashkin, stated that Indonesia's presence as an Official Partner Country is one of the main highlights of INNOPROM 2026. According to him, Indonesia's participation reflects the growing economic relationship between Indonesia and Russia while opening up new mutually beneficial collaboration spaces for industry players in both countries.

As the largest international industrial exhibition in the Eurasia region, INNOPROM brings together industry players, investors, business associations, and policymakers from various countries. With more than 48,000 visitors from around 60 countries, this event is a strategic platform for Indonesia to expand partnership networks, attract investment, and open wider market access for national manufacturing products.

Tri emphasized the importance of following up on every cooperation opportunity that is built during INNOPROM 2026. "The success of Indonesia's participation in INNOPROM is not only measured by the number of meetings or agreements reached during the exhibition, but by the follow-up that arises afterwards. We want to see more industrial investment, co-production projects, technology transfer, and manufacturing cooperation that provide added value for both Indonesian and Russian industries," he added.

Through participation in INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia targets the birth of more industrial investment, joint manufacturing projects, and technology transfer that can strengthen the competitiveness of national industry. This cooperation is expected to expand market access for Indonesian manufacturing products in the Eurasia region, create added value domestically, and strengthen the Indonesia-Russia economic partnership in the long term.
